Sledgehammer Games Confirms Shotgun Nerf for Vanguard


layAs more players begin to jump into Call of Duty Vanguard for the very first time, the list of infuriating bugs combined with the overpowered nature of shotguns has left the community frustrated, despite multiplayer being one of the better offerings in the franchise. If you haven't been using the STG 44 assault rifle or the MP40 SMG, you'll have noticed that many players have been taking advantage of the shotguns.

After nearly two weeks of dominating close-quarters combat, Vanguard developer Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that a nerf is on the way, much to the delight of players that have quickly grown tired of being blasted into oblivion by a fully-equipped Combat Shotgun.

The news was confirmed by the developer on November 16th after Twitter user @Zexafy uploaded a video of them scoring the coveted V2 Rocket Killstreak in just 33 seconds. Having showcased how broken shotguns in Vanguard are, Sledgehammer Games confirmed a "shotgun exorcism" will be performed to bring them in line with the rest of the arsenal.

When Are Vanguard Shotguns Being Nerfed?

Although Sledgehammer Games has confirmed that the nerf is in the works, an exact date for the change has yet to be revealed, meaning there's still some time to rank up the shotguns quickly before they're nerfed. The developer has already released two significant updates for the game since it launched on November 5th, so another one could be right around the corner.
