Ranked playlists in Call of Duty have often been hit-and-miss, with some titles featuring a fully-fledged competitive experience while others choose to completely ignore one of the biggest parts of the community. The last ranked playlist arrived in Black Ops Cold War and was far from what players were hoping for.
With the launch of Vanguard fast approaching, many players looking to get their competitive fix have been wondering whether the game's multiplayer will include a dedicated ranked playlist using the same rules and restrictions as the Call of Duty League. Here's everything we know about the possibility of a ranked playlist appearing in Vanguard.

Will Call of Duty Vanguard Have A Ranked Playlist?
Surprisingly, there has been no official information or leaks surrounding the possibility of a ranked playlist appearing in Vanguard, which won't go down well with the competitive community. Typically, a ranked playlist launches a few weeks after the game releases, so there's still plenty of time for Sledgehammer Games to cater for this often vocal set of players.
The Vanguard developer is widely acclaimed for creating the very best Call of Duty ranked playlist which appeared in 2016's World War 2, complete with a comprehensive MMR system and clear structure to see where you rank amongst others.
Call of Duty Vanguard Ranked Play Release Date
Contrary to reports, Vanguard's ranked playlist won't be releasing alongside Season 1. On October 29th, the Call of Duty Twitter account revealed that Sledgehammer Games and Treyarch have joined forces to release a "new level" or Ranked Play in 2022.
