After weeks of speculation, leaks, and rumours, the community got their very first look at the multiplayer portion for Call of Duty: Vanguard. During the worldwide reveal, Sledgehammer Games unveiled a wealth of information and innovations arriving into the latest instalment of the franchise launching on November 5th, including a sneak peek at Operator XP and Clan XP progression systems.
After the reveal, several content creators and professional players got the chance to experience multiplayer early and while many fans focused on the available weaponry, gunplay, and map design, one developer that has worked on Vanguard has confirmed that a field of view (FOV) slider will be appearing in the console version of the game.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Console FOV Slider
A FOV slider for consoles has been a heavily requested feature for players that want in-game settings that PC players have had access to for a number of years. Thankfully, Sledgehammer Games has listened to the demands and after the reveal had concluded, Adam Iscove, Senior Development Director at Sledgehammer posted a screenshot from Vanguard confirming the presence of a slider.
Chancing the FOV in Call of Duty drastically changes the sense of speed and gives players an improved view of what they're looking at, meaning they have more opportunities to spot a potential target that could put a premature end to their rampage.
Will A FOV Slider Arrive In Warzone?
While Vanguard will have a FOV slider, it's unclear as to whether the feature will be appearing in Warzone. Raven Software has previously stated that it is aware of the requests for one to be added, but it has not promised whether it will be launching for console players.
