The variety of primary weapons is plentiful in Call of Duty Vanguard and this continues when it comes to the choice of secondary weapons that are available to use in multiplayer. As expected, the handgun category is one of the more popular choices thanks to its selection of lightweight yet powerful pistols that are the perfect crutch to fall back on if you run out of ammo. As Season 1 approaches, the Top Break doesn't feature in many loadouts but can pack a deadly punch in plenty of scenarios.
Perhaps the most powerful pistol on offer, the Top Break revolver is capable of dealing plenty of damage in close-quarters and mid-range engagements but the lack of mobility does mean that other pistols are more viable in many scenarios. With that said, here are the best Top Break attachments and the best Top Break loadout to use.
How to Unlock
The Top Break is available to use once you reach Level 12. It's not much of a grind to get your hands on the revolver so we recommend keeping hold of any Double XP Tokens and saving them for when Season 1 begins at the beginning of December.
The Best Top Break Attachments in Vanguard
After spending hours using different sets of attachments, we managed to settle on this particular combination which does improve mobility levels enough to make the Top Break a viable secondary weapon.
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Wilkie W-4 Stub
- Trigger Action: Rapid Action
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Proficiency: Quickscope
- Kit: Quick
This particular build may not utilise all of the available attachment slots but that's because it doesn't need to. These attachments drastically improve accuracy levels and thanks to the Sprint Kit, it's much easier to navigate around the map quickly.
The Best Top Break Loadout in Vanguard
Considering that the Top Break is a secondary weapon, you're going to need a primary weapon to complement the revolver along with the best Perks, Equipment, and Field Upgrades in order to top the scoreboard.
- Perk 1: Ghost
- Perk 2: Forward Intel
- Perk 3: Lightweight
In order to succeed with the Top Break, you're going to have to get a bit closer to the opposition which is why we've selected these Perks to assist your movement. Ghost conceals your location from any enemy Spy Planes while moving while Forward Intel reveals where the opposing team is spawning. Lightweight increases movement speed across the board, allowing you to strafe any targets with ease even with the Top Break in hand.
- Lethal: Gammon Bomb
- Tactical: No 69 Stun Grenade
This combination of equipment is perfect for dealing close-range damage. Throw the Gammon Bomb directly at an opponent for an easy kill and if you get a hitmarker, quickly follow up with a Stun Grenade to slow their movement and finish them off with a few well-placed shots with the Top Break.
- Dead Silence
As we've chosen Ghost as our first Perk, Dead Silence is our Field Upgrade of choice. With silent footsteps for a brief period of time, it's the perfect opportunity to sneak behind enemy lines and deal maximum damage before anyone has any time to react.
The Best Top Break Blueprint in Vanguard
The Top Break is one of several weapons that doesn't have any weapon blueprint just yet. As soon as we find the best one to use and how to unlock it, we will update this article with the latest information.
Is The Top Break Good in Vanguard?
In my opinion, the Top Break definitely has its place in the Vanguard arsenal but if you're looking for the very best pistol to use as part of a loadout, it's probably best to look elsewhere. the slow rate of fire will often result in you being outgunned which is far from ideal. If you want something unorthodox to use then give the Top Break a try but don't expect too much from it.
