.In recent Call of Duty titles, some Marksman rifles have sometimes dominated the metagame while others fail to make it into the loadouts of players. The category returns in Call of Duty Vanguard and isn't the most popular despite possessing some of the most powerful weapons in the entire game. As Season 1 gets into gear, the SVT-40 is beginning to appear in more loadouts thanks to its impressive mid-range performance.
The SVT-40 is one of the more mobile Marksman rifles in the arsenal and despite its low rate of fire and mobility, it can land one-shot kills if bullets hit anywhere above the upper torso. Thanks to the ten attachment slots, there are various attachments that can be equipped to address these problems. With that said, find the best SVT-40 attachments and the best SVT-40 loadout to use in this guide!

How to Unlock
In order to unlock the SVT-40, all you need to do is reach Level 27 in multiplayer, which is a very straightforward process. Don't forget to use any Double XP Tokens to reach this level as quickly as possible!
The Best SVT-40 Attachments in Vanguard
Having tested a range of different attachment combinations, we managed to find a set of ten that drastically increases accuracy levels, making it very easy to achieve success in mid-range combat.
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: ZAC 730mm Precision
- Optic: G16 2.5x
- Stock: Removed Stock
- Underbarrel: Heavy Foregrip
- Magazine: .303 British 10 Round Mags
- Ammo Type: Lengthened
- Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
- Proficiency: Focus
Mobility isn't necessarily a problem if you adjust your style of play to sit back and watch certain areas of the map in order to score the kills. With so much accuracy provided by the majority of the attachments listed above, the SVT-40 is arguably one of the best weapons in those competitive mid-range gunfights. If you prefer a larger magazine to the British 10-round Mags, switch them to the 7.62x54MMR 15 Round Mags for double the ammo capacity.
The Best SVT-40 Loadout in Vanguard
Once the lengthy process of equipping all ten attachments to the SVT-40 has been completed, it's time to take a look at the rest of the loadout. With numerous advantages to be had by selecting the best Perks, best Equipment, and the best Field Upgrade, the loadout is equally as important as the attachments.
- Perk 1: Survival Training
- Perk 2: Forward Intel
- Perk 3: Double Time
Survival Training enables you to shrug off the effects of any enemy Stun Grenades and gas that is likely to head your way during a match. Forward Intel is the star of the show, increasing the area of the minimap and showing bright red squares whenever an opponent spawns in. Lastly, we went with Double Time to double the length of Tactical Sprint, making it easy to reposition to a new area as fast as possible.
- Lethal: MK2 Frag Grenade
- Tactical: Stim
The MK2 Frag Grenade is one of the more versatile pieces of Equipment in Vanguard. Throw it from one end of the map to the other or cook it to perfection to guarantee an elimination. Stim is a vital crutch to use in Vanguard multiplayer. Use it for an instant burst of health regeneration to stay in the action for a longer period of time.
- Field Mic
More often than not, you will be focusing your attention on one particular area of the map to score kills, which is where the Field Mic comes in handy. Place it close by to reveal the exact position of any enemy that could attempt to flank you.
Is The SVT-40 Good in Vanguard?
Yes! Despite the lack of mobility, the SVT-40 packs a deadly punch in all mid and long-distance battles, making it one of the best weapons in the entire game. As one of the few weapons that can conquer fast-firing assault rifles, I recommend using this loadout to top the scoreboard with ease.
