Like all of the weapons appearing when Vanguard launches on November 5th, the Kar98k can be unlocked by working your way through the levels. The Best Kar98k Attachments in Vanguard
Having tested a range of different attachments in a bid to improve mobility and to further increase levels of damage, we came across this combination that's arguably the very best to equip onto the Kar98k.
- Muzzle: MK. 2 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Krausnick Scout
- Stock: Short Stock
- Underbarrel: M1930 Madson
- Ammo Type: FMJ Rounds
- Rear Grip: Leather Grip
- Proficiency: Icy Veins
- Kit: On-Hand
The stars of this build are the FMJ Rounds and the Icy Veins Proficiency. While the other attachments do provide improvements to the sluggish movement speeds and some additional control to the recoil, this choice of Ammo Type is perfect to eliminate opposition even if they're hidden behind a small piece of cover obstructing your view.
Icy Veins enables you to hold your breath for a longer period of time, meaning you can maintain focus when scoped in without the crosshairs from spiraling out of control when your Operator's lungs give out.

Throwing a frag at a faraway target to deal a small amount of damage increases the chance to score a simple one-shot kill while the Stun slows the movement of any opposition, making it very easy to eliminate them before the effects wear off.

When using the Kar98k, peeking into areas of the map occupied by the enemy is a common occurrence but with the Armor Plates equipped, it's easy to withstand some damage in a bid to score a couple of kills.
