Infinity Ward Teases Ghost Ahead of Modern Warfare 2 Reveal

Despite a new season of Vanguard and Warzone approaching, attention is already turning towards the launch of Modern Warfare 2. On April 22, the social media for Infinity Ward went dark, teasing some kind of announcement is on its way.

The profile picture and header for the developer's Twitter account initially looks dark but on further inspection, an enhanced version of the header reveals the silhouette of a fan-favourite character.

With a teaser out in the open, hype surrounding the return of the Modern Warfare series is beginning to build once again much to the delight of players that have grown tired of the current offering.

Ghost Appears in Modern Warfare 2 Teaser

Notable Call of Duty leaker Tom Henderson uploaded the enhanced image showing Ghost hidden underneath a staircase, suggesting the new game involves plenty of stealth.

Current rumours state the single-player campaign is centred around a drug war against Columbian cartels and with Ghost appearing, Task Force 141 is intervening.

The teaser comes after recent speculation surrounding the reveal of Modern Warfare 2. Leaker 'RalphsValve' suggests more teasers are set to appear with a full-scale reveal taking place in May.

When Is Modern Warfare 2 Coming Out?

With teasers for Modern Warfare starting to appear, a release date won't be too far behind. The most recent leaks suggest Modern Warfare 2 is set to launch in October following no mention of a Season 6 within the Warzone and Vanguard game files.

2019's Modern Warfare also launched in October and with development said to be ahead of schedule, there's every chance the game will appear sooner than expected.
