When it comes to building the best loadout to achieve success in Call of Duty multiplayer, the Light Machine Gun (LMG) category is regularly overlooked in favour of assault rifles and submachine guns.
While some LMG's are unpopular, some possess incredible damage outputs that can contend with the most popular guns in the game. With Modern Warfare 2 on the horizon, many are waiting for intel on multiplayer following leaks of Killstreaks, Perks, and Field Upgrades.
In addition, a leak uncovering the guns list claims there are several weapons returning from 2019's Modern Warfare. With the likes of the M4 and AX-50 on the list, many are wondering what else is on the way. Is the RAAL MG in Modern Warfare 2? Here's what we know about the LMG's appearance in multiplayer.

RAAL MG Call of Duty History
The RAAL MG made its first appearance in Call of Duty in Season 5 of Modern Warfare. Despite its somewhat compact size, its slow rate of fire saw players stay clear of the LMG in favour of fast-firing alternatives.
It had a high output of damage but it never made a splash in the multiplayer meta despite the Gunsmith containing a huge range of attachments to modify its performance in close-quarters and long-distance engagements.

Is the RAAL MG in the Modern Warfare 2 Beta?
Although it's far from the most popular weapon to appear in a Modern Warfare title, there's a chance the RAAL MG could appear in the Modern Warfare 2 beta. Just like past betas, this is the first opportunity for players to get their hands on the game and use a small slither of content over a couple of weekends.
Rumoured to take place in mid-September, the beta gives Infinity Ward a chance to gather plenty of feedback and apply any changes before the final build that launches in October.
