Call of Duty's 2022 release will be a sequel to the hugely successful reboot of the Modern Warfare series which launched in 2019.
Alongside Infinity Ward spearheading the development of the sequel, a leaker has claimed there are numerous studios working on the game, ensuring a polished product with minimal flaws.
Modern Warfare II Developers
According to notable leaker 'RalphsValve,' Modern Warfare II will be a collaboration between a total of 11 studios with Infinity Ward being the lead studio alongside the likes of Raven Software, Treyarch, and Sledgehammer Games. The leaker also reveals "all hands on deck," Infinity Ward is aiming to right the wrongs of Vanguard which was released with several game-breaking flaws ultimately leading to a delay of the second season of post-launch content.
