It's been two whole years since Borderlands 3 launched, but with a host of DLC and live events, it feels like only yesterday.
Still, Gearbox and 2K haven't forgotten, and are rolling out the celebrations in the form of a series of in-game events to celebrate the game's second anniversary.
Here's everything we know so far.
Borderlands 3 Loot The Universe
The first event has already kicked off at the time of writing. 'Loot The Universe' is a series of mini-events for Vault Hunters that will rotate Borderlands 3's planets.
Whichever planet is active will offer increased chances of loot, with specific types of loot in certain areas.
Here are the dates, courtesy of Gearbox.
- Week 1 (9:00 AM PT August 12 to 8:59 AM PT August 19) - Pandora
- Week 2 (9:00 AM PT August 19 to 8:59 AM PT August 26) - Promethea
- Week 3 (9:00 AM PT August 26 to 8:59 AM PT September 2) - Eden-6
- Week 4 (9:00 AM PT September 2 to 8:59 AM PT September 9) - Nekrotafeyo
Borderlands 3 Mayhem Made Mild
The game's next two events both kick off on September 9th. The first, Mayhem Made Mild, will ensure all encounters in the game's Mayhem Mode are filled with 'Easy Modifiers'.
That means all players can have a better chance at snagging legendary loot.
Borderlands 3 Show Me The Iridium
Finally, also kicking off on September 9th is 'Show Me The Irididium'. Expect increased Eridium drops and Eridium item discounts from vendors, too.
Both 'Mayhem Made Mild' and 'Show Me The Iridium' will finish on September 16.
Gearbox is also promising a surprise event for the game's anniversary on September 13.
