Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War just entered its second season and fans are enjoying some of the new content that was added to the popular shooter, including Outbreak, along with fixes that a lot of people are thankful for.
The game’s new content tends to be released with Warzone as a form of corporate synergy and is enough to get fans excited for both games, though there are a section of fans who are wondering if Black Ops Cold War will get its own version of Warzone.
Will Black Ops Cold War Have Its Own Warzone?
Due to the success of the current iteration of Warzone, it seems like Activision will continue supporting the free-to-play game for quite a while with new weapons and a new area coming soon.
Though a possible sequel or follow-up isn’t impossible, the fact that Warzone has next-gen console upgrades shows that the developers know how popular the game is.
If we are going to get a new version of Warzone, it won’t be due to Black Ops Cold War, though stranger things have happened.
Now, just because Black Ops Cold War might not be getting its own version of Warzone doesn’t mean that it has nothing to do with the free-to-play game.
Warzone already has some Modern Warfare content since it came out sometime after the 2019 reboot was released, so the game will definitely get more Black Ops Cold War content.
Plus, with Call of Duty 2021 likely getting announced in a few months, we doubt that a new Warzone game based on Black Ops Cold War will have legs to stand on.
The current game just got its second season and won’t be losing players anytime soon, so if you want to have a good time without spending a dime, jump in the Warzone.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Call of Duty: Warzone is free-to-play and is available on all the gaming systems mentioned above.
