As Season 2 of Black Ops Cold War Zombies reaches its halfway stage, the R1 Shadowhunter is the latest weapon that has been added to the ever-expanding arsenal of weapons.

While the crossbow may be an unorthodox weapon to select when it comes to slaying the undead, it can deal incredible levels of damage when used in specific scenarios during a match and can be extremely effective when it comes to avoiding being trapped in a corner.

R1 Shadowhunter Cold War Zombies

During the opening rounds of a Zombies match, the R1 Shadowhunter is more than capable of taking down a target with just a single bolt and still holds its own after five rounds of zombie-slaying action.

Its excellent accuracy when firing from the hip means you can react to a target without the need to aim down the sights which is ideal if a Zombie catches you by surprise.

Although the accuracy and damage of the R1 Shadowhunter are impressive, the slow reload speeds hinder mobility levels, making it difficult to evade any opposition when trying to load another bolt onto the bow.

Is The R1 Shadowhunter Good In Cold War Zombies?

Despite being one of the most unique weapons in the Zombies arsenal, I think that the R1 Shadowhunter certainly has its place as one of the most entertaining weapons to use.

Once it’s been through the Pack-A-Punch machine and combined with the Deadwire Ammo Mod, the R1 Shadowhunter resembles the Tempest, sending shockwaves through any kind of undead opponent standing in your way.

It’s definitely not an alternative to an LMG but as something different, I would recommend using the R1 Shadowhunter.
