With the expected arrival of Season 5 Reloaded in less than two weeks, fans are wondering whether the unreleased pistol may make an appearance as part of the mid-season update. Reddit user 'Jawkess' was quick to upload their findings as many players wonder what the second half of the season has in store.

The post below shows a direct comparison of the compact pistol tucked away in Portnova's holster and the real weapon. Upon further inspection, there are plenty of similarities between the two.
While many users seemingly agreed with the comparison, one user put a halt to the potential addition of the pistol by saying that "the Makarov is on a table in the campaign, plus some skins for Park have a holstered Makarov. If they didn’t plan on releasing it 9 months ago, I don’t think they’re releasing it now.”
It would seem like a strange idea for Treyarch to add the Makarov into Black Ops Cold War, especially when there has been no mention of it within the Season 5 roadmap. With Season 6 expected to start in October, could we see the Makarov finally added into multiplayer? We will have to wait and see.
