Treyarch Teases New Outbreak Area For Season 4

The start of Season 4 for Black Ops Cold War is on the horizon and while a lot of focus has been on multiplayer, there have only been a few teasers surrounding the next chapter of the Dark Aether storyline.

Season 3 saw the release of the first Easter Egg quest for Outbreak, laying the foundations for the release of the next round-based map that is expected to arrive at some point in Season 4.

While there has only been a brief snippet of the new round-based map, Treyarch has also been teasing a brand-new area coming to Outbreak.

Cold War Season 4 Start Date

The new season of post-launch content starts on June 17th.

It's more than likely that this will be when the new Outbreak area is available to play.

So what exactly is the new area?

Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, eagle-eyed Zombies fans were quick to spot that the new Outbreak area will be Zoo after Treyarch posted a cryptic teaser.

For many Black Ops fans, Zoo will be a familiar location as it featured in the first title as a multiplayer map.

Judging by its sheer size and with plenty of areas to explore, Zoo is going to be another solid addition to the Outbreak map pool.

Second Outbreak Easter Egg

Alongside the release of Zoo, it's widely believed that the second Easter Egg quest for Outbreak will also go live, much to the excitement of Zombies fans desperately hunting information surrounding the release of the third round-based map.

Speaking of round-based maps, the first Season 4 cinematic did show a group of the undead running away from an underground metro train.

The Black Ops Cold War campaign did feature the Berlin metro as one of its missions. Could Zombies be heading underground? We will have to wait and see!
