Rush Returns To Call of Duty In Cold War Season 4

Season 4 of Black Ops Cold War is finally here after weeks of teasers, leaks, and speculation. One thing that nobody saw coming was the return of two classic multiplayer maps from Black Ops 2.

While several leaks pointed towards the return of Hijacked, Treyarch and Activision managed to keep the return of Rush a secret, making its return even more of a surprise.

Set in a paintball facility, this medium-sized map features three distinct areas for combat, and with multiple pieces of cover to utilise in the middle lane, getting up close and personal with the opposition is guaranteed.

As mentioned earlier, Rush is made of three areas that provide a range of combat opportunities for players.

For those that want to avoid the chaotic close-range action, avoid the indoor paintball arena and stick to patrolling the middle of the map in order to secure some easy eliminations.

If you want to get stuck into the action, the indoor paintball arena and the wooden structure are perfect places to make an impact with a shotgun or an SMG with a fast rate of fire.

Tips And Tricks

Aggression Is Key

When it comes to making an impact on Rush, aggression is often the key to scoring plenty of kills and manipulating the spawns to work in the favour of you and the rest of the team.

SMGs such as the AK-74u and the MP5 will have a field day in the confines of Rush, with their fire rate and immense damage outputs coming into a league of their own over the course of a match.

When running around at breakneck speed, do remember to check those corners as it can be very easy for your spree to come to a premature end by a player sitting in a corner armed with a shotgun!

Utilise Grenades

Using utility to your advantage is a surefire way of scoring some additional kills as well as making it much easier to halt the opposition from navigating the map quickly.

Well-timed stun and flash grenades on Rush can hit multiple players, preventing any kind of offensive play in the heat of battle.

Best Weapons To Use

Considering the compact nature of Rush, there are a number of weapons that are viable. We recommend the following to achieve success:

  • AK-74u
  • XM4
  • Stoner 63
  • FARA 83
  • MP5
  • MAC-10
