Black Ops Cold War To Be "Most Supported" Title Despite COD 2021 Release

Call of Duty 2021, or Call of Duty Vanguard as it has been rumored, has yet to make its first public appearance, with many wondering when we will actually get official news on the next game.

Fans have been playing Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 4 as they wait for the new game but it looks like they might want to keep playing, even when COD 2021 comes out since there are reports coming in that Black Ops Cold War could be the most supported game in the series.

Black Ops Cold War To Be "Most Supported" Title Despite COD 2021 Release

Tom Henderson was supposedly told that the revenue being made from Black Ops Cold War has exceeded expectations, with more support expected to come to the game even when its “cycle” is supposed to end.

"I was told recently that Black Ops Cold War will likely be the most supported Call of Duty title after its 'cycle' has ended as its post-launch revenue is exceeding expectations," Henderson says.

Modern Warfare stopped getting support after Season 6, minus a bug fix or two, and many expected the same for Black Ops Cold War with COD 2021 on the horizon, but that might not be the case.

Admittedly, fans should take this with a grain of salt since insiders like Tom can get false information, though his track record has been pretty solid.

Still, this could just be Activision spreading something so that fans don’t see COD 2021 or any other big announcement coming.

Whatever the case, Black Ops Cold War fans might have a reason to keep playing the game now, as a consistent high player base is usually enough to gain more support and we can’t complain about that.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is now available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
