Ghostface Makes Early Appearance In Black Ops Cold War

Despite The Haunting Halloween event for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone not launching until October 19th, a bizarre glitch has uncovered one of the themed Operators making their way into multiplayer and Verdansk. Rumours surrounding new Operators arriving as part of the event have been circulating in recent weeks, with leaks revealing that Frank from the Donnie Darko movie will be one of the available outfits.

Call of Duty is no stranger to collaborating with the big screen. During the Cold War cycle, legendary action heroes John McClane and John Rambo made appearances while in 2020, Leatherface and Jigsaw arrived as part of the first Halloween event. Ahead of the event, Ghostface from the Scream franchise has made a premature appearance.

Call of Duty content creator @PrestigeIsKey managed to discover Ghostface within Black Ops Cold War after the game kicked them out of a Zombies match. Now back on the Operator menu, they spotted the iconic horror movie villain on the roster.

When Will The Ghostface Operator Release?

Activision has yet to reveal when Ghostface will be releasing into Black Ops Cold War and Warzone but based on this unintentional glitch, it's more than likely that the character will be arriving across both titles in the not too distant future. Considering Ghostface's roots, it wouldn't be at all surprising to see them appear before or during The Haunting event.

With Ghostface being a crossover between the Scream franchise and Call of Duty, the only way to get hold of this Operator will be by purchasing a bundle from the in-game store. Based on the cost of Rambo and McClane, players will need to spend 2400 COD Points.
