Best Cold War Groza Loadout For Season 6

The Groza Assault Rifle was one of the first batches of DLC weaponry in Black Ops Cold War. Initially, this weapon wasn't something to bat an eyelid at, but as time has gone, this weapon has grown in popularity and has become a strong assault rifle to use.

Known for being a hybrid between an assault rifle and an SMG, the Groza is ideal for aggressive gameplay and racking up plenty of kills. With Season 6 in full swing, the Groza has managed to slot into the ever-changing meta with ease as many players continue to adapt it with a range of attachments to suit their style of play. Whether it's getting up close and personal with the opposition or picking off players from a distance, the Groza can do it all.

Here are the best loadout and attachments to use on the Groza Assault Rifle.

Best Groza Cold War Loadout

Developed by the Russians in the 1990s, the Groza takes inspiration from the AK-74u SMG and its performance at close-range certainly shows. Armed with a moderate rate of fire, the Groza is easy to control when engaging with a target at close to mid-range.

When attempting to take down a target at an extremely long distance, the damage falls off dramatically, making it very difficult to secure an elimination.

How To Unlock

In order to get your hands on the Groza, kill 3 or more players without dying using Assault Rifles in 15 different matches. We'd recommend playing Team Deathmatch as you'll stand a better chance of getting 3 consecutive kills in a short period of time.

Be sure to finish your matches otherwise the challenge progression will not count!

Groza Cold War Best Attachments

  • Muzzle: KGB Eliminator
  • Barrel: 16.5” Gru Composite
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Handle: Serpent Grip
  • Stock: KGB Pad

This combination of attachments reduces the levels of recoil to almost non-existent levels. The lower recoil levels drastically improve long-range performance, ideal for picking off those with a tactical rifle in hand.

The barrel selection increases damage to increase its lethality while the addition of the KGB Pad makes the Groza one of the most mobile weapons in the game.

Alternatives

To really make this a strong SMG alternative, try equipping the 16.5" CMV Mil-Spec barrel, the Steady Aim Laser, and the CQB Pad. This gives you a lot of mobility and flexibility to react fast to oncoming enemies, but at the cost of range.

Groza Cold War Best Secondary Weapon

Even with reduced recoil, the Groza still lacks in performance at long range. Because of this you'll need to consider your secondary weapon carefully. Here's our pick.

  • M16

To add some form of balance to the loadout, we selected the M16 Tactical Rifle to get the upper hand over the opposition at longer distances.

Lethal

  • Semtex

The ability to throw a Semtex faster than a frag grenade makes it a popular selection for those that find themselves in the heat of the action.

The ability to stick it to various objects and players adds another layer of versatility to one of the most popular pieces of equipment in Black Ops Cold War.

Tactical

  • Stun Grenade

The stun grenade is the perfect tool to obtain intel on an enemy position.

Throw it around a corner and if you are notified of a stunned enemy, quickly rush them to take them down with the Groza in hand.

Field Upgrade

  • Jammer

Without a suppressor attached to the Groza or secondary weapon, concealing your position can prove to be tricky.

Equip the Jammer to block any enemy minimaps that step within a specific area to provide you with an opportunity to escape the jaws of death or to make a sneaky play without the opposition realising.

Perks

  • Flak Jacket
  • Ghost
  • Ninja

This combination of perks adds to this loadout in a multitude of ways.

Flak Jacket provides some much-needed resistance to enemy explosives, while the combination of Ghost and Ninja allows you to stay hidden from opposition Spy Planes when on the move and decreases your footsteps to near-silent levels.

Wildcard

  • Law Breaker

By selecting the Lawbreaker wildcard, you have the ability to use two primary weapons in the same loadout alongside the ability to equip multiple perks from the same category. This is perfect for fine-tuning this Groza loadout to suit your style of play.

That's all you need to know about making the most of the Groza in Black Ops Cold War. For more Season 6 intel, check out what's included in the Battle Pass and the best Grav loadout to use.
