A Call of Duty 2020 reveal ‘coming very soon’ according to a leaker.
@Okami13_, who has a good record at sharing reliable intel (they shared the name Black Ops Cold War which was picked up by a number of outlets) claimed the game is still on course to release later this year.
Call of Duty 2020 Reveal Coming Within Two Weeks?
It comes as the logo appears to have been leaked online, appearing to confirm that new Call of Duty is called Black Ops Cold War.
Call of Duty 2020 still on track to release this year, a new post from leaker Okami claims.
Okami posted the following tweet last week:
Small update regarding COD 2020.As of about a week ago, it's still on schedule to release this year. No delay. Reveal coming very soon 👌
— Okami (@Okami13_)
In a further response to a question asking if "soon" means two weeks or a month, Okami said "if I had to guess, 2 weeks". Here's hoping we see something soon.
Treyarch has been keeping its cards close to its chest when it comes to intel on the latest Call of Duty – likely to be the first in the series to feature on next-gen hardware. However, titbits of information have been finding their way through the cracks.
Earlier this month, The Red Door, appeared on the Xbox Live store. Described as a ‘shooter’ in a listing, it first appeared on June 10, then seemed to reappear earlier this week as a public listing.
“There is more than one truth,” the description reads. “If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?”
A PS4 listing for The Red Door was also been spotted on Serial Station.
Now, it’s worth stressing that this in no way confirms that ‘The Red Door’ has anything to do with Call of Duty… so time will tell. In fact, we still know very little about what Treyarch and Activision have planned. In a normal year, we'd have likely had a reveal of sorts before E3 before a deeper dive, but we're still waiting for a full reveal.
