As one of two available weapons included in the Season 6 Battle Pass, the process of unlocking the Ironhide is very easy. Simply reach Tier 15 of the Battle Pass to get your hands on the shotgun. With the Ironhide ready to use, here is the very best combination of attachments to equip.

.410 Ironhide Cold War Best Attachments

After levelling up the Ironhide, we used a variety of attachments but eventually settled on this particular set thanks to the improvements across every single statistic.

  • Muzzle: Infantry V-Choke
  • Barrel: 22.3" Reinforced Heavy
  • Magazine: 7 Rnd Tube
  • Handle: Airborne Lever Wrap
  • Stock: Shotgun Stock

This set of attachments significantly improves levels of accuracy alongside mobility, making it the perfect weapon to excel in close-range situations. The tighter aim-down sight spread provided by the Infantry V-Choke alongside the Reinforced Heavy Barrel increases damage range and fire rate, enabling you to lay down a few shots as fast as possible, often resulting in scoring a kill.

The combination of Speed Tape and Shotgun Stock decreases aim-down sight time and sprint-to-fire time, allowing you to react quickly which is ideal if a target suddenly emerges from around a corner.

Best .410 Ironhide Cold War Loadout

With the best .410 Ironhide attachments equipped, selecting the best secondary weapon and Perks is equally as important in order to maximise performance. Here's the best primary weapon to use alongside the Ironhide as well as the strongest combination of Perks, and the best Field Upgrade.

Primary Weapon

  • Krig 6

Throughout the Black Ops Cold War cycle, very few assault rifles have come close to dominating as the Krig 6 has done. Armed with limitless customisation options and non-existent recoil levels, the Krig is the perfect all-purpose weapon to deal with any targets that are too far away for the Ironhide to deal with. Perks

  • Perk 1: Flak Jacket / Tactical Mask
  • Perk 2: Scavenger / Assassin
  • Perk 3: Ninja / Ghost

This selection of Perks is arguably the strongest and thanks to the Perk Greed Wildcard, you can choose six Perks to earn a number of huge advantages. Flak Jacket and Tactical Mask increases resistance to lethal and tactical equipment, perfect for dodging those pesky Gas Mines that can catch even the most observant players off-guard. Scavenger and Assassin mean you will never run out of ammunition and also provide an opportunity to earn some additional score by eliminating an opponent that's on a killstreak.

Lastly and by no means least are Ghost and Ninja. Ghost keeps your location hidden from any enemy Spy Planes when moving while Ninja suppresses footstep audio which is perfect to get behind enemy lines and deal maximum damage with the Ironhide in hand.

Equipment

  • Lethal: Semtex
  • Tactical: Stimshot

The sticky nature of a Semtex can be ideal when looking to deal some additional damage in a crowded area of the map. Throw it into a Hardpoint hill or Domination flag controlled by the enemy and watch the kills roll in.

Field Upgrade

  • Assault Pack

This choice of Field Upgrade may seem strange but with access to ammo that can provide huge scoring bonuses, it's ideal if you're attempting to earn the Scorestreaks that require a huge amount to obtain.

Wildcard

  • Perk Greed

As mentioned above, Perk Greed is the Wildcard we selected to build the best Ironhide loadout. There's no need for extra attachments or additional equipment meaning you can fully utilise the Ironhide in close range with a total of six Perks at your disposal.

Is The .410 Ironhide Good In Black Ops Cold War?

After using the Ironhide for several hours and across a number of different game modes, I can safely say that the shotgun is one of the very best secondary weapons in the entire game. The huge amount of close-range damage is very difficult to counter and with the surprising amount of range provided by the attachments, it's incredibly good in mid-range combat.

If you're looking for a strong secondary weapon in Black Ops Cold War multiplayer, give this Ironhide loadout a spin and dominate the scoreboards!
