Black Ops Cold War: Players Reporting Treyarch Has Silently Nerfed XP Values Again

Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is finally here!

The new season has implemented a ton of content for players to check out.

From the new weapons to the new Warzone map, players should not run out of game modes to play over the holiday season.

However, since the season released players have been noting that progression has felt a bit slower than in previous weeks.

Now, a Reddit post has risen to the top of r/blackopscoldwar that notes Treyarch has once again silently nerfed the amount of XP you gain per match.

Here's what we know!

A new post by user u/Jzlegit has noted the following:

Treyarch must think the entire community is stupid and won't notice these XP nerfs

With the season 1 update it feels like Treyarch has nerfed XP across the board (again) and must of assumed no one would notice.

Dirty bomb XP was nerfed, leveling XP was nerfed, zombies XP seems to be nerfed and on top of that the battle-pass barley levels.

In a follow-up Tweet to the thread posted by ModernWarzone, CharlieINTEL has noted a 'CM' has already commented on this issue:

One of the CMs replied and said that XP felt slow on PC & Xbox yesterday because the 2XP logo was live on the platforms, but no 2XP was active so it felt “slower” because it was just standard XP when they were expecting 2XP.

As well, ModernWarzone has noted that PS5 players have also been reporting these XP issues:

While that may have caused some confusion, it seems PS5 players are making the same complaints.

I’m sure someone will do some testing soon and post the results.

Treyarch themselves have not made an official statement regarding these concerns, but we can assume they will do in the coming days.

Be sure to let us know if you are experience XP issues with the new season!
