Black Ops Cold War: How To Change Your Name On PC

Call of Duty continues to prove itself as one of the world's most popular titles.

The anticipation for Black Ops Cold War is building, as we are less than 24 hours from release.

Playing Call of Duty on PC has been the preferred platform of many over recent years.

One aspect of the game that can be confusing is how to change your name.

Since you are not using Xbox Live or PSN; finding where to change your in-game display name may be tricky.

Do not worry! We have got you covered.

Here's how!

Activision Account

The process of changing your display name on Black Ops Cold War is rather complicated.

Instead of changing your Battle.Net display name, you are going to need to head over to the Activison website.

Once you are there, go ahead and sign in to your Call of Duty account; or make a new one if you do not have one already.

After you are signed in, click the top-right of the screen which is where your profile is.

Select 'Basic Information', which should be one of the options presented to you.

Next, go ahead and press the 'Edit' button next to your Activision ID; and this is where you can change your name.

This can be up to 16 characters and can be whatever you want, as long as it does not have any profanity in it.

As well, Activision has posted a post noting how to complete this name change.

Check it out here, or below is how they describe the process:

  • Log in to your Activision account.
  • Select BASIC INFO.
  • Select EDIT next to your ACTIVISION ID and enter your desired Display Name.
  • Select SAVE.
