Even though Season 4 of Black Ops Cold War is about to receive its mid-season update and focus is already beginning to turn towards the release of COD Vanguard, details surrounding content that could be arriving in Season 5 are already beginning to emerge. Just like previous seasons of content, Treyarch is reportedly introducing two classic Black Ops maps into the ever-expanding pool.
The return of iconic maps has been met with huge positivity from the casual and competitive community, which has regularly expressed its frustrations with the new maps that appeared when Cold War released back in November 2020. One notable leaker has uncovered intel on two iconic maps that will be arriving in the not-too-distant future.
Cold War Season 5 Start Date
It is far too early to tell when Season 5 of Black Ops Cold War will get underway but we can take a guess based on the release patterns of other seasons. With Season 4 Reloaded taking place in mid-July, there is a chance of Season 5 starting in August.
Yemen And Plaza Coming To Black Ops Cold War
According to @TheMW2Ghost, Yemen and Plaza will be the latest maps from Black Ops 2 to arrive in Cold War multiplayer.
Although many are excited by the prospect of Plaza and Yemen's return, the leaker goes on to express their annoyance surrounding the lack of classic maps that relate to the theme of the Cold War. Throughout the course of the Black Ops series, there have been several maps relating to the time period, including one set around the Berlin Wall.
With only two full seasons of post-launch content remaining for Black Ops Cold War, time is running out for Treyarch to implement the classic maps fans are clearly demanding. Until we move closer to the start of Season 5, this leak should always be taken with a pinch of salt until official information is revealed.
