The idea of classic maps being reimagined and given a new coat of paint is nothing new within the Call of Duty franchise.
Since the additions of two classic maps from the Black Ops series, many players and fans have been wondering if any other maps will be making their return in future seasons of content.
Based on a range of leaks and cryptic social media posts, it appears that more maps from previous games are on the way!
Here’s what we know so far.
Jungle Black Ops Cold War
Set in a Vietnamese river valley, Jungle has featured in a total of three Black Ops titles. The map first appeared in the original Black Ops title before being remastered in Black Ops 3 and 4.
In a cryptic Tweet, notable leaker @ModernWarzone has suggested that the map will be returning to Black Ops Cold War.
Jungle is arguably one of the best maps that has featured in the Black Ops series. With a wide variety of sightlines and chokepoints suiting all styles of play, Jungle would be a welcome addition to the ever-expanding pool of maps.
Firing Range Black Ops Cold War
In the very same Tweet, the leaker also posted an image from iconic Black Ops map, Firing Range.
This small military practice facility also debuted in the first Black Ops game and was remastered in Black Ops 3 and 4.
With very few long-distance sightlines, Firing Range played host to fast and frenetic gameplay where action would lie around every single corner of the map.
With Season 2 entering its second half, it would be a strange time to release the two maps into the game, meaning it’s more likely that they will be part of next season’s content plans.
Season 3 of Black Ops Cold War is expected to go live on April 21st, will either Firing Range of Jungle make a return? We will have to wait and see.
