Rumor: Battlefield 2042 Alpha To Be Announced At EA Play Live And Released In July

According to reliable Battlefield leaker, Tom Henderson, EA is planning a Battlefield 6 Alpha which will be announced during EA Play Live on July 22, 2021.

Writing on Twitter, Henderson says that it is being planned to also release in July, so expect it to be a "and the Battlefield Alpha is available to play right now" kind of announcement.

This is exciting to hear and although it hasn't been confirmed by EA as of now, it seems likely as the publisher definitely wants to make a big splash with this new entry.

As for what platforms it will be on, we are hedging our bets on it being for PC only as it is much easier to get an alpha running on PC than it is consoles, where the game will have to pass certification and ahere to a number of Sony and Microsoft's rules.

Battlefield 6 has suffered a number of leaks over the past few weeks, ot the point where now almost 80% of the reveal trailer has reportedly been leaked ahead of an announcement in June.

The game is likely to be announced within the next few weeks, so be sure to stay tuned for the latest information. While you wait, you can catch up on all the leaks from the game here.
