Former Call of Duty General Manager Joins Battlefield Franchise


Battlefield's next instalment might be revealed in just a few days, but EA is switching things up behind the scenes, too.

As spotted by IGN, Byron Beede, former Call of Duty general manager, has been appointed general manager and SVP of the Battlefield franchise.

Beede will report to Vince Zampella, another Call of Duty alumni, who founded Respawn Entertainment and now heads up DICE LA.

Beede has also worked on Destiny previously, suggesting his experience with live-service titles could be invaluable - potentially for post-launch content for Battlefield 6.
