Battlefield 2042 Release Date

Battlefield 2042 will now release on November 19 of this year, due to a delay from the original release date of October 22.

Seeing it release near the holiday season isn’t exactly a huge surprise since that’s when game sales are at their craziest so be sure to pre-order a copy in advance.

Battlefield 2042 Platforms

Battlefield 2042 will release on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.

There was little chance of this game coming to the Nintendo Switch or Google Stadia but it’s good to see Battlefield 2042 coming to modern consoles like PS4 and Xbox One.

Gameplay

The first gameplay for Battlefield 2042 was shown off during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase at E3 2021.

There's going to be all kinds of game modes, including Hazard Zone and Battlefield Portal, an upcoming Battlefield 2042 open beta, and a whole host of guns, both new and drafted in from previous Battlefield titles.

There's also a fantastic soundtrack for Battlefield 2042 you can listen to on Spotify right now.

Player Count

Battlefield 2042 will allow for 64 players on last-gen/current-gen consoles the PS4 and Xbox One, while the next-gen and PC versions will allow for 128 players.

While we're sure PS4 and Xbox One owners are disappointed at only having half the player count of next-gen consoles, 64 players are nothing to sneeze at and we're sure it will still be a good time.

That's everything we know about Battlefield 2042 thus far, though expect more information to come out as the release date draws near.
