Battlefield 2042 Developer Says Open Beta Is ‘Months Old’


The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta has now been played by a number of players who feel that it could be a better experience, though that hasn’t stopped fans from being curious about the game’s weapons or streamers from posting hilarious incidents that happened to them, the lack of polish seems to come from the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta being months old.

It’s not the worst thing ever, with many fans still finding the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta more than playable, but the fact that it’s a few months old does explain the lack of polish, so we can only hope that the main game launches with no hiccups, given that it’s already been delayed.

Battlefield 2042 Developer Says Open Beta Is ‘Months Old’

On Twitter, one of EA’s Lead Community Managers confirmed that the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is months old, though he did clarify that the game does get updated and polished daily.

While fans probably wanted a smoother experience with the shooter, knowing that the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta is a few months old shouldn’t be a deal-breaker since these open testings are always expected to be buggy.

Granted, there have been examples of good open betas and first impressions do mean a lot to some players, so here’s hoping that the final game improves upon the months-old Battlefield 2042 open beta.

Battlefield 2042 will be coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 19.
