Battlefield 2042 Gets New Early Access Date Following Game Delay


Battlefield 2042 was recently delayed from its original October 22 release date and will now be coming out on November 19, which had many fans asking about the Battlefield 2042 Early Access date, the Open Beta, and more.

Thankfully, it didn’t take long to get a response, as Adam Freeman, the EA Studios Lead Community Manager, went on to reveal the new Battlefield 2042 Early Access release date, while also promising an update on the Open Beta next week.

On Twitter, Freeman stated that the new Battlefield 2042 Early Access date is now November 12, seven days before the game’s new release date on November 19, following the format of similar games with Early Access privileges.

While the release date for Battlefield 2042’s Early Access won’t surprise anyone, the clarified information is appreciated since the news wasn’t made immediate when Battlefield 2042 was delayed by a month.

It seems that some extra care is going to be needed to make sure Battlefield 2042 launches without a hitch, especially when you consider how rushed releases have plagued Battlefield in the past.

Battlefield 4 might be one of the most acclaimed entries in the franchise now, but at launch, it was a buggy mess that had to be patched numerous times to reach its full potential, which it thankfully did.

Battlefield 2042 will now be coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 19, with those that pre-order it getting Early Access on November 12.
