Battlefield 2042 is finally coming out in a few weeks, with many fans excited to get their hands on these Specialists and shoot their friends in this huge multiplayer experience, leading to fans questioning how to use the Drone in Battlefield 2042.
We've seen drones in other military shooters including Warzone, so it makes sense to have them in Battlefield 2042. In other shooters though, there are fewer specific requirements to using drones than in Battlefield 2042, where it is only available for a single Specialist.

How to Use the Drone in Battlefield 2042
You can only use the Drone when playing as Wikus "Casper" Van Daele. It's simple enough to use though, just press the left button on the d-pad or the 3 key on keyboard and launch it. It's nice and simple, so you won’t have to make any complicated button combinations to use this powerful recon device.
Drones are very useful in Battlefield 2042, spotting foes who are hiding in plain sight so your teammates can gun them down, as well as scouting capture points before bad guys can spot you and get into advantageous positions.
Make no mistake about it, the Drones in Battlefield 2042 are very useful but they should be used strategically since any player can take them out with the right combination of weapons and environmental hiding spots.
Drones can be used for other cool strategies too - some players even strap C5 explosives to them and blow your enemies up in a surprise bombing attempt. Master their use and you'll be an absolute monster in Battlefield 2042.
Battlefield 2042 is coming to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on November 19.
