Thankfully, Reddit user Poetic Whisper decided to get images from Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 to see how their HD counterparts in Battlefield Portal look.

In fairness to the developers back then, Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 don’t look half bad for being older entries in the series, though it’s clear that the assets from Battlefield Portal are superior.

Ripple Effect really made sure that the classic games in Battlefield Portal would impress fans who haven’t played them and now we’re hoping they will remake the single-player campaigns of these older games.

Judging from the Reddit comments, it’s clear that a lot of Battlefield fans are nostalgic for the older games, with some of them even saying that the announcement of Battlefield Portal got them to play these classic titles.

Nostalgia can be a two-way street when it comes to the quality but it seems that EA and Ripple Effect are making sure that these classic games will be treated equally in Battlefield Portal once Battlefield 2042 comes out.

Battlefield 2042 is currently slated for an October 22 release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
