Newly rebranded Ripple Effect Studios will feature in the first EA Play 2021 Spotlight Series episode on July 8 at 1 p.m. EST/6 p.m. BST.
Dubbed The Future of FPS, the EA Spotlight episode will also include Respawn’s Vince Zampella and DICE’s Oskar Gabrielson with a glimpse at a brand-new Battlefield 2042 mode.
The bulk of the Apex Legends EA Play and Battlefield 2042 news will drop during the actual event on July 22, but EA said The Future of FPS will offer a sneak peak at what to expect during the event itself.
But there will be a few surprises.

The Future of FPS is EA Play's First Spotlight Episode
EA said Ripple Effect will announce its new experience for Battlefield 2042, though it might not be quite so new after all.
It’s “one that long-time Battlefield players will feel right at home with,” the announcement said.
Don’t get your hopes up for battle royale or single-player mode just yet, though.
DICE said during E3 season there are currently no plans to offer either mode any time soon.
