Turtle Rock Studios, of Left 4 Dead fame, is planning to release Back 4 Blood later this year. The title will feature a online multiplayer gameplay and have crossplay features on launch. With such a strong design for multiplayer co-op, will this game be available on Nintendo Switch?

As of now, Turtle Rock Studios has not yet confirmed a Nintendo Switch release for Back 4 Blood. As seen on its official site, Back 4 Blood will be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and the PC. For its PC version, the game can be bought online through Steam and Epic Games Store.

Crossplay and PvP
Confirmed by its developers, Back 4 Blood will have its crossplay and crossgen features available. This feature means that players can connect with other players that are using other consoles to play Back 4 Blood. Regardless if you're on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC, players can definitely bring their friends in the party without worrying for specific console server differences.
Other than its co-op game mode, players can also go for Swarm Mode where two teams of four will fight as the Cleaners and the Ridden to take the enemy team down. This PvP game mode will task the Cleaner team to successfully survive the map while the Ridden team will stack up against them as four special zombies to stop the Cleaners.
Out of all the consoles, Nintendo Switch will be the only platform that'll miss getting in on the Back 4 Blood fun.
Turtle Rock Studios has confirmed than an open beta will be available for PC and console players on August 12. Players will not only have access to the game itself but also its crossplay and crossgen features. Getting your friends in will just be a matter of invites to get them in your party.
Back 4 Blood is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 12, 2021.
