Back 4 Blood is officially a huge hit, as developer Turtle Rock Studios confirmed that the game reached 10 million players. To celebrate, Turtle Rock Studios has announced that the game’s first expansion, Tunnels of Terror, launches next month on April 12.
Steve Goldstein, Turtle Rock Studios president and general manager, had this to say about Back 4 Blood’s latest milestone (via Gematsu):
“To achieve such a milestone in the short time since the launch of Back 4 Blood is a historic event for our studio and this franchise,” said Turtle Rock Studios president and general manager Steve Goldstein in a press release. “As we look ahead, we’re excited to keep the momentum going with our upcoming expansion, ‘Tunnels of Terror,’ which will offer more cooperative content for fans to continue cleansing the world of the Ridden.”
Back 4 Blood Hits Ten Million Player Milestone
Offering a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead, many saw Back 4 Blood as the game that would fill that long vacant void. Less than a year after release, Back 4 Blood is a certified hit and fans can look forward to further content.
Back 4 Blood is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The Tunnels of Terror expansion is coming on April 12, and we'll keep you informed with further updates.
