Animal Crossing New Horizons Lunar New Year Event: Dates, Event, Rewards, Outfits, DIY Recipes and More

Celebrate

New Horizons has been one of the best games to release this year.

The game has been progressing along smoothly since it released back in March.

Toy Day was the last major update for 2020, and we are looking ahead at what is to come within the New Year.

While the New Year's Eve event was fantastic, there is another New Years' event just around the corner.

Of course, we are talking about Lunar New Year.

Although the event has already occurred in New Horizons, it may be a bit different this year.

Here's everything you need to know!

Dates

Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year is going to kick off on February 12th, 2021.

So, we can assume the New Horizons event is going to take place on this day and will run for a few extra days in case players could not log on during the 12th!

Past Games

As noted above, Lunar New Year is an event that has occurred in New Horizons already. As well, it has been featured in City Folk and New Leaf.

Animalcrossing.fandom.com has provided some snippets of what the event included in these titles:

New Horizons - Isabelle will deliver a special message, wishing the islanders good fortune. The day before the event, the player will receive a letter from Mom, containing an item from the Mom Series.

City Folk and New Leaf - From 6AM to midnight, Tortimer or Isabelle will be present in the Plaza. Upon talking to them, the player will receive a Yuk.

Rewards, Prizes, and More

No news into what this year's event is going to detail.

We will be sure to update this page when we know about the Lunar New Year event for 2021.

We can assume players will be granted some sort of cosmetic or even a DIY Recipe!
