Rust, the game that stayed in early access for more than five years.
Eventually, it became loved by many and still has a strong and loyal community.
It could have an even larger player base if it came to console and it looks like that may not be too far off.
Here's what we know about Rust coming to PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X And Switch.

Recently a rating was posted to the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
The description is quite familiar...
"Players can attack and kill enemies in frenetic combat, with successful hits resulting in large splashes of blood. Players can keep shooting animals or humans on the ground (i.e., postmortem damage), accompanied by large blood-splatter effects. Battles are highlighted by realistic gunfire and explosions,"
"When human enemies are killed, they can be harvested for body parts and cooked for food."
The game is also listed with a rating of "Mature 17+" for blood and violence.
That definitely sounds like Rust to us.

Currently, we have no idea when a release date will be.
Though we can be hopeful that it will be some time this year in 2021.
Currently, there's only one edition of Rust for PC.
This being the original/normal edition.
Although there are DLCs available including:
- Instruments Pack
- Sunburn Pack
We expect these expansions to make their way to console as well sometime after the title's launch.
We expect Rust to receive crossplay if it does eventually make its way to console.
Most games have this feature and its starting to become the standard.
