Marvel's Avengers has lofty plans for post-launch support, with all of its upcoming heroes and missions being released for free to all players (other than Spider-Man, who will be a PlayStation exclusive).
While Kate Bishop and Clint Barton form the initial two character drops as two versions of Hawkeye, it looks as though King T'Challa is up next.
Here's everything we know about the Wakandan ruler's appearance in Square Enix's universe, with the character allegedly being portrayed by Christopher Judge – better known as Kratos in the 2018 God of War reboot.
We'll be adding to this as we hear more.
Marvel's Avengers Black Panther DLC: Everything We Know So Far
It appears that Square Enix's plans have been thrown into disarray by the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, the actor that portrayed the hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
This is undoubtedly the right choice, but with the game's next-gen update being delayed, it's likely been pushed back further.
Unfortunately, we can only speculate about T'Challa's abilities, but expect him to be focused on close-range combat.
Black Panther is an expert martial artist with excellent reflexes and incredible agility, so we'd expect him to be able to deal plenty of damage – and take a fair bit of punishment, too, thanks to his vibranium suit.
One question we have is how he'll move around levels. While Iron Man and Thor can fly, Hulk can leap long distances, and Ms Marvel and Black Widow can grapple to surfaces, we'd expect Black Panther to be able to wall-run or similar like Captain America can.
Leaks have suggested that a Wakanda region will be added to the game, with new objective types and a new social space.
Apparently, it'll also include a raid against Klaw, a longtime Black Panther villain.
Alas, we don't have a trailer for the character yet, but as soon as we do, we'll add it here.
