Xbox boss Phil Spencer has responded to a fan request on Twitter regarding a potential family bundle for Xbox Game Pass.
Twitter user @binnsy1138 asked about the possibility of a family plan that would allow for multiple users to enjoy membership at a discounted rate.
Xbox Boss On Game Pass Family Plans: "It's Something We'd Like To Do"
Spencer responded noting that it has been considered.
"It's something we'd like to do," he said.
"There is Home console feature for one console household[s] but for multiple family members with consoles a family plan would help. Really appreciate the feedback."
We have. It's something we'd like to do. There is Home console feature for one console household but for multiple family members with consoles a family plan would help. Really appreciate the feedback.— Phil Spencer (@XboxP3) December 9, 2020
The initial tweet had pointed to subscription services like Apple Music and Spotify, both of which offer a £9.99 monthly membership option for single users.
Both also offer a £14.99 membership for up to five people, something that on paper appears to be a good fit for Xbox's all-you-can-play subscription.
Considering how Game Pass has grown to support PC, add Game Streaming, and now includes EA Play, Microsoft has shown a commitment to the platform.
