Black Ops Cold War is here, and the game's "back to basics" multiplayer gameplay has millions of players logging in to earn killstreaks and level up.
If you've not played at all, we've got good news – multiplayer will be accessible for free for a week starting today!
Here's how to get involved, and what's included, as per Activision's blog.
Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer Free For A Week
How To Get Started
Free access offers a perfect way to sample Black Ops Cold War, including new Season 1 content.
Available on PS4/PS5, Xbox One/Xbox Series and PC, you'll just need to download the game from your digital storefront of choice (that's Battle.net for PC).
Once you've done that, Treyarch has prepared a smorgasbord of content for you to enjoy.
The week-long event is split into two sections.
The first section, Stage 1, runs from December 17 (today) until December 21 (Monday).
During that time, players can jump into the following:
- Team Deathmatch
- 2v2 Gunfight
- Nuketown Holiday 24/7 Playlist
- Raid The Mall Playlist
As for Stage 2, that runs until Thursday, December 24.
Right up until Christmas eve you can enjoy all the modes from Stage 1, as well as:
- Prop Hunt
- Combined Arms Hardpoint
- Fireteam Dirty Bomb
If you already own the game, or if you're playing for free, there's also a double XP and weapon XP event happening.
From December 18 to December 21, players can earn both, while double Battle Pass XP is coming on December 22 and carries through to December 28.
