Registeel Raid Moveset
First up, if you want to know Registeel’s Raid counters in Pokemon Go, you need to know what moves the Iron Pokemon can hit you with.
- Metal Claw
- Rock Smash
- Lock On
- Focus Blast
- Flash Cannon
- Hyper Beam
Nothing too bad with respect to counters. Nothing here is a perfect choice against types with Steel is vulnerable to, but Hyper Beam could be an issue.
While only a Normal-type move, Hyper Beam is exceptionally powerful so is worth watching out for!
Raid Team Choices
Mega Charizard Y
- Moves: Fire Spin, Blast Burn
While X is often seen as the cooler version, Mega Charizard Y wins out stats wise. And it's this writer's personal favourite.
Against Reisteel, either would be fine but if you have the choice, go with Mega Charizard Y and victory is almost a certainty.
- Moves: Fire Spin, Overheat
For much the same reasons as Charizard, you’ll be wanting a Moltres to tackle Registeel.
Fire is strong, Legendary is also strong, it’s as simple as that!
- Moves: Counter, Blast Burn
As a powerful Fire/Fighting-type, Blaziken makes for an excellent choice to use against Registeel in Raid battles.
Counter will let you charge up Blast Burn quickly, so you can melt the Legendary away quickly!
To begin with we will warn against using Electric types, it’s a common misconception that it’s super effective against Steel but that just isn’t true!
So make sure to use Fire and Fighting types instead.
Heatran and Entei are two exceptionally powerful Legendary Pokemon that you will likely want for your team. Heatran may take some damage if Registeel knows Rock Smash, but the power it can put out itself keeps it in contention!
Mega Houndoom will also struggle against Rock Smash, but if you don’t have another Mega on your team, Houndoom can fill this slot nicely!
Charizard would be significantly better but we understand if you haven’t yet caught it.
Machamp and Conkeldurr round out the squad, as two powerful Fighting options against Registeel in Legendary Raids.
These guys are sure to counter the Iron pokemon nicely, and won’t be badly hurt in return.
