ARK 2 Game: Release Date, Vin Diesel Involvement, And Everything We Know About Survival Evolved Sequel

"Family"

Following the incredible ongoing success of ARK Survival Evolved, developed Studio Wildcard announced a new sequel during The Game Awards 2020.

Here's everything we know about this new game, starting with the big news.

ARK 2 Trailer

So far there is one trailer, but it's a goodie

ARK 2 - Starring Vin Diesel

Fast & Furious star Vin Diesel featured prominently in the trailer and whilst he was mainly grunting and fighting off attackers wearing bone armour and tribal gear.

Naturally, Vin Diesel was protecting his "family". We couldn't resist.

Oh, and of course there was a giant dinosaur chomping people left right and centre.

According to the official Twitter account, Diesel is playing a character known as Santiago.

It also seems that Vin Diesel has joined Studio Wildcard as an executive producer on Ark 2.

As well as that he's also an executive producer on the Ark animated series.

Vin is now named the "President of Creative Convergence" for Studio Wildcard!

ARK 2 Game Release Date

Despite a lengthy CGI trailer during The Game Awards, Studio Wildcard have not given a release date for ARK 2.

With Ark Survival Evolved's next Genesis expansion launching in March 2021, we wouldn't imagine we'll see ARK 2 until much later in 2021, if at all.

So be prepared to wait until 2022 for an eventual release date.

Xbox Exclusive

ARK II is set to be console exclusive for Xbox.

They have a long history together with ARK Survival Evolved being one of the first Xbox One X Enhanced titles.

We expect it to later become available for PlayStation players too as its predecessor has.

ARK The Animated Series

In addition to the Ark II news, Studio Wildcard also revealed that Ark is getting an animated series stacked with talent.

Some of the names mentioned include: Vin Diesel, Madeleine Madden, Michelle Yeoh, Gerard Butler, Jeffrey Wright, David Tennant, Zahn Mcclarnon, Devery Jacobs, Ragga Ragnars, Elliot Page, Karl Urban, Malcom McDowell, Deborah Mailman, and Russell Crowe.

Sounds like it's going to be pretty darn inpressive.
