A new system update has rolled out to the PS5, just a week since its worldwide release.
While some players have had an extra week to try out Sony's next-generation console, other parts of the world have had just under a week to take it for a spin.
The PlayStation 5 has had an interesting start to life, with users reporting a number of bugs and errors with the new console.
Sony's aim is to obviously rectify that and clean up any inconvenient bugs that may occur.
Last week, Sony deployed update 20.02-02.25.00 and has now dropped yet a new update.
So what's new in this update? Here's what we know.
PlayStation 5 System Update 20.02-02.26.00 Patch Notes
This new system update leaves a lot to the imagination as the patch notes, like last week, only mention improved system performance.
Unfortunately, additional details are unknown at this point and the Sony doesn't offer much to clarify things.
All it says are:
- This system software update improves System performance.
For more detail about this update, please see
Which, ultimately, gives you no further details.
The update is just shy of 1GB (886MB to be exact) which is the same size as last week's update.
We can only hope that this fix addresses some of the crashing issues players are still experiencing.
Last week's update seemed to remedy a number of issues, but not all of them.
One we hear more details, we'll update you right here!
