GTA Cayo Perico heist payout: How much can you make?

Gettin’ paid, gettin’ paid

Seven years after the launch of GTA 5, Rockstar Games has announced a new map expansion for its satirical SoCal playground.

The new region’s called Cayo Perico, and it’s coming on December 15.

Cayo Perico heist max payout

Rockstar’s calling the Cayo Perico heist its “biggest” DLC to date, so while we don’t know exactly what the final take might be, we can make a fairly educated guess. For the time being, however, this is all speculation.

A recent GTA Boom breakdown of the Diamond Casino heist shows that the max take from that mission is about $3,619,000, with individual players’ cuts ranging from $432,684 to $787,001.

This will fluctuate depending on a number of key factors, from how well you play to how many players you’ve got in your crew — not to mention elements that are randomly selected, like the type of score (diamonds, cash, fine art, and so on). Let’s say a two-player Diamond Casino heist nets $787,001 for one player.

With the Cayo Perico heist allowing for solo play, we can guess that it’ll likely reward solo players a maximum upwards of $1.57 million. It may cost a lot to prep for the heist; it may be hard work to succeed at it.

But that’s a heck of a good take for those up to the challenge.

The Cayo Perico heist

“On Tuesday, December 15, GTA Online raises the stakes once again with its biggest update yet: the Cayo Perico Heist, featuring an all-new exotic location and a brand-new approach to heist design that for the first time will let players tackle the entire heist solo or with a crew of up to three other players,” Rockstar said in an email.

“Along with the challenge of finding a way to infiltrate and rob one of the most secure private islands in the world, players can also expect new social spaces to party with friends, new world-class DJs, and radio stations with over 100 new songs, plus a host of vehicles and weapons, a heavily armed submarine HQ, and much more.”

A standalone release of GTA Online is expected to launch in 2021, along with new versions of GTA 5 optimized for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
