Season 5 Release Date
Before we get into the downtime for the Season 5 update; we have to first take a closer look at when the new season is going to release.
Barring no future delays from the side of Epic, it appears we are right on track to kick the new season off very soon!
Season 15 or Chapter 2 Season 5 is going to be kicking off on November 30th, 2020.
This gives players just under two weeks until the new season is released, so not a lot of time to finish off their battle pass.
Fortnite has usually announced the downtime for the new season the night before at around 5:00 pm EST.
This has also been tweeted from the FortniteStatus Twitter account, so be sure to head on over there the night of the new season.
But, over the last few weeks; Fortnite has waited longer and longer into the night to announce downtime.
So, on November 30th be on the lookout for when downtime will be announced.
The season release patches are always some of the biggest.
Expect this one to be anywhere from 10 GB - 30 GB depending on much content is implemented for the new season.
