Xbox Series X: How To Get 4K On Microsoft's Most Powerful Console

Get that Ultra HD goodness for a visual treat.

Xbox Series S and Series X are here, but only the latter console offers 4K gaming.

If your TV can handle Ultra HD content, then you're in for a treat, as games come to life with stunning detail.

That said, you can tweak your resolution if you'd prefer, opting for 1080p, or even 720p (if you really wanted to).

Here's how.

Xbox Series X: Change Resolution

First, you'll need to head into your Settings app.

You can find this either in your "My Games and Apps" folder, in the apps category, or by opening the Guide (press the Xbox button) and navigating to "Profile and System" and selecting "Settings".

Once in settings, head to "TV and Display Options", and from there you'll be able to select your resolution.

Depending on your TV, the options could run from 720p all the way up to 4K.

You may need to activate 4K on your TV for the input used by your Xbox, too, and we'd also recommend using the HDMI 2.1 cable that comes in the box with your console for maximum compatibility.

You'll also be able to enable HDR, which will ensure your games look more vibrant.
