Nadeshot is BACK in Call of Duty!

It’s official! After several months of speculation, North American esports organisation 100 Thieves has entered the Call of Duty League.

The organisation had left Call of Duty esports at the end of the 2019 season, citing a lack of financial resources as one of the reasons the org would not be entering the inaugural season of the franchised league back at the beginning of 2020.

The Los Angeles Thieves replaces OpTic Gaming Los Angeles as the second CDL franchise to operate out of the city of angels.

Nadeshot is Back!

There are several reasons as to why so many people are excited about 100T entering the Call of Duty League.

One of them is that founder and Call of Duty esports legend Matt “Nadeshot” Haag has returned to his roots after a spell on the sidelines.

Both Nadeshot and 100T bring a huge fan base to the Call of Duty League, which is certainly a positive for all involved.

100 Thieves was able to acquire the franchise slot thanks to Nadeshot’s long-time friend and OpTic Gaming founder Hector “Hecz” Rodriguez.

It had been reported that Hecz had managed to buy the OpTic Gaming brand back from Immortals, raising many questions as to what he would do with the newly-acquired brand and CDL slot.

As CEO of the Chicago Huntsmen franchise, Hecz is unable to own two franchise slots and it appears that he sold the LA slot to his friend Nadeshot. Good guy Hecz!

The future of the OpTic Gaming brand and name hangs in the balance. Rumours are suggesting that Hecz will rebrand the Huntsmen as Chicago OpTic but CDL rules may prevent this from happening.

We will have to wait and see what happens to the Green Wall.
