The console will the first step into next-generation gaming for many of you, so it is a big deal.
It is also coming that a large portion of you will be upgrading from the PS4, so you may be a concern with your current games and other files.
Thankfully, Sony has released some YouTube videos regarding some vital topics for the transition over to the new consoles.
Here's how to transfer files over from the PS4 to the PS5.
Check out the following video posted by PlayStation today.
It showcases all the ins and outs of transferring files from the current-gen consoles to the new PS5.
Before you begin the process of transferring the files from the two consoles, you have some prep beforehand.
Make sure your PS4 console is up to date with the latest firmware, and make sure you are signed in to your account.
As well, the two consoles should be connected to the same Wi-Fi before you begin this process, as it will make it a lot easier.
Next, you are going to want to plug an ethernet cable into both consoles and connect them to eachother.
This should trigger a data transfer between the two consoles and it will not take to long.
Sony also gives you the option to load files onto an External Hardrive from the PS4, which you can then load onto the PS5!
The choice is up to you and whichever one is easier for you we would recommend doing!
