The worldwide release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is just around the corner.
The latest instalment in the first-person shooter franchise takes players back to the Cold War for the direct sequel to the very first Black Ops game.
So when exactly is Black Ops Cold War going to evolve Verdansk?
According to reliable leaker @_TomHenderson_, there are several sources reporting that there will be no changes to the Warzone map until late Q1 or early Q2 of 2021.
This is particularly good news for those that still enjoy the current iteration of Verdansk.
For those hoping for some form of change when Black Ops Cold War is released on November 13th, they’ll have to put up with the current map until the end of March at the earliest.
During Activision’s Q3 conference call, the publisher confirmed that Warzone will continue to use Infinity Ward’s newest engine to power the popular BR game.
Players of Warzone and Black Ops Cold War will have to get used to playing on two different engines once Black Ops Cold War has released.
Activision also confirmed that loadouts from Black Ops Cold War and Modern Warfare will be able to be accessed in Warzone.
This means that the entire Black Ops Cold War weapon arsenal will be available to use in December once Season One of Black Ops Cold War is underway.
With several players expecting the “Rebirth” event to make way for a Black Ops Cold War themed map, it looks like that the event will be revealing something different if current rumours are to be believed.
