Near-instant fast travel, anyone?

The Witcher 3 is one of the current generation's finest titles, and while CD Projekt has promised upcoming next-gen enhancements, the game is already running so quickly on Xbox Series X that it's almost breaking.

A new YouTube video shows Geralt's adventure running on the Xbox Series X via backwards compatibility, and the map struggling to keep up.

An almost two-hour video from Rubhen925 on YouTube shows the game running, but this handy GIF is more easily digestible (thanks @_XboxNews).

Essentially what you're seeing is the map loading so quickly, that the game doesn't even head to a loading screen.

It's worth noting that the game remains entirely unoptimised, too, so in theory it could get even faster in the coming months (or at least it should load a lot more smoothly).

Of course, the team is currently working on Cyberpunk 2077, which was delayed last week until December

We also know that there will be Witcher references in Cyberpunk 2077 – here's one we know about already.
