Celebrate your weekend with a Shiny Gourgeist.

If you’ve got your Switch handy during all the Halloween fun this weekend, you can catch yourself some festive ghost-type Pokémon.

A new official blog post at Pokemon.com says Sword and Shield players will find a high volume of specific ghost Pokémon in Max Raid Battles this weekend.

“During the event period, be on the lookout for spooky Pokémon like Cofagrigus, Trevenant, Gourgeist, Mimikyu, and Polteageist in Pokémon Dens,” the post says.

“If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a Shiny Gourgeist.”

The Halloween event runs from Thursday, October 29, at 5:00 p.m. Pacific till Sunday, November 1, at 3:59 p.m.

“To encounter these Pokémon in a Max Raid Battle, you’ll need to connect your Nintendo Switch system to the internet through Y-Comm or by selecting Mystery Gift in the X menu, then selecting ‘Get the Wild Area News,’” the blog post explains.

“After that, whenever you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokémon Den, you can walk up to the Pokémon Den and interact with it to start a Max Raid Battle with a Dynamax Pokémon.”

Sword and Shield’s new paid expansion, The Crown Tundra, launched a week ago, introducing new places to explore, fresh ways to play, and more Pokémon to catch.
